THE AMITYVILLE HAUNTING

Kathy Lutz is the mother of the Lutz family, and is also a real person. Her experiences in the movie line up very similarly to the original's hauntings, from the red welts she found on her chest nearly every morning to feeling a loving embrace from an unseen force. The movie correctly portrayed the fact that Kathy was the biological mother of the Lutz children, and married George after a first marriage. Between the movie and the original tale, there seem to be no differences present.
